Waterkant, Paramaribo, Suriname

Another lovely card from a South American country, this time, Suriname. Its not often I get cards from one of these "rare" countries. So here's a view of the Waterfront, one of the main streets of Paramaribo. There are many historical buildings that line the banks of the river. And on another note, the Historic Inner City of Paramaribo is a UNESCO World Heritage site, so I think I will just consider this one of my UNESCO cards!
The stamp on the right is from a set of 8 depicting birds. This one here shows the Dusky Parrot. The set was issued on 15th August 2008 (just type "2008" in Ctrl F). The other one commemorates a chess game between Michael Botwinnik and Paol Keres. It was issed on 21st October 2009 (just type "chess" in Ctrl F).

Thank you so much for the wonderful card and stamps Sherwin! It was indeed a great pleasure to swap with you!
