Motovun, Istria, Croatia

I love this scenic view of a small village nestled amongst the lush greenery. This medieval town can trace its roots to the 10th century, where it belonged to the Bishop of Porec. It's interesting how the town still retains Venetian colonial architectural structures from the time it was under Venetian rule (1278). I'd really like to pop by this town to take a look!

The stamps used on this card are very beautiful. The one on the right is part of a set of 3 stamps issued on 30th October 2007. They portray Croatian towns, and this one shows the town of Omis. The stamp on the left is part of a set of 4 issued on 15th March 2010. They commemorate the Croatian Enthographic heritage.

Thank you very much for the beautiful card and stamps Adi!
